Tanzania, 16 August 2009 - second anniversary of the death of our founder Hugo Mill. We are on Mount Kilimanjaro,
at 1500 meters altitude. 3000 people are waiting, closely together, for the opening of the training center "Hugo Mill".
A year of sweaty work lies behind the people in Uomboni who constructed the training center with the help of the german organisation Kinderhilfe Tansania, which we have financed for two-thirds and continuously supported every year.

A few weeks earlier: 600 people concrete the ceiling of the school with two old concrete mixers, eight shovels and about 100 buckets. "People have almost no technical equipment here" - emphasizes Rosemarie Mill, Managing Director of Meister Strömungstechnik®.

In rows of two they carried the full buckets on the ceiling, in a third row the empty pails went back again. But
suddenly, it began to rain. Things got more complicated. "We were soaking wet and toiled a lot.",
remembers Werner Friedel, responsible for Kinderhilfe Tansania.

The great enjoyment came four months later. With the celebration of the inauguration of the school, all the hard work paid off. "The hospitality, spirit and emotionality of the African people impressed us deeply ", so the managing director. With the establishment of the center, a dream turned into reality the structurally weak area of the third world country.

To this day, teachers are actively teaching in the Hugo-Mill-School.
