The New Flow-Monitor Type WY with Inclined Position

The most obvious feature of the WY is its novel design. The float is placed in a slanted seat?. This results in a multitude of advantages. The WY is a flow monitor and indicator for liquid media and is designed for measuring ranges from 2.5 – 25 l / min (WY-15) and 10 – 100 l / min (WY-25) as well as media temperatures up to 100 ° C.

Compact design & large measuring range

Float measuring devices generally have a measuring range of 1:10 (e.g. 10-100 l / min). Very compact devices, in turn, have smaller intervals of, for example, only 1: 3. Due to its design, the WY combines a very compact design with a large measuring range of 1:10. The WY is the first choice wherever space is limited.

Easy to maintain & clean

The Y-shaped design allows all internal parts of the WY to be removed without the complete device must to be removed from the pipe. This reduces the effort for cleaning and/or maintenance significantly.

Variable Positioning

Float flowmeters must normally be installed vertically. Thanks to a spring that always returns the float to its initial position, the WY allows the installation in almost any position.

Direct Display Reading

The current flow can be read directly on the device via a burned in scale on the sight glass. The borosilicate glass (DURAN® 50) used is highly chemical and temperature resistant. Optionally the switching status can be displayed with colored LEDs.

The float is deflected into the inclined position. This clears the flow cross-section and minimizes the pressure drop.

Easy Switching Points Setting

The user can set the switching points for the flow limit values precisely directly on the device. For this purpose, the switching contact is simply shifted to the desired flow value. The adjusted value can then be read at any time exactly from the switching point scale attached to the device housing. Since the switching contact is located on the outside of the device, it never gets into direct contact with the medium.
